The Women’s Sports Foundation is committed to protecting your privacy as an online user of WomensSportsFoundation.org and complying fully with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. Our information collection practices are described below.

What Information Is Collected?

The Women’s Sports Foundation collects e-mail addresses and other personally identifiable information for the purpose of registering participants and donors, conducting research, surveys and contests, and as a mechanism for developing subscriptions to our free monthly electronic newsletter, S.H.E. Matters.

As an opt-out site, WomensSportsFoundation.org provides an option when submitting personal information that gives users the choice of excluding their personal email address for enewsletter subscriptions. In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, users are also able to unsubscribe from our enewsletter at any time.

Cookies are information files that your Web browser places on your computer when you visit a Web site. WomensSportsFoundation.org occasionally uses cookies to track user trends. The Women’s Sports Foundation collects information on user demographics, site traffic, page views and banner ad click throughs. This information is used to improve our Web site, and is for internal use only and not sold or made available to any other parties.

The Women’s Sports Foundation has taken steps to ensure that personally identifiable information collected in the future is secure, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to our database servers as well as electronic security systems and password protections that guard against unauthorized access. All online transactions are protected through Verisign.

We respect your privacy and recognize that you may wish to limit the ways in which we contact you and/or share your Personal Information, including for fundraising purposes.

Restricting Our Communication With You. WSF offers the following options to restrict the ways in which we contact you:

Please note:  We will continue to send transaction-related emails regarding our relationship and the services you have requested. If you later reengage with WSF without indicating your intent to opt-out, we will re-subscribe your email in order to ensure that you do not miss out on WSF updates. We may also still send you important administrative messages, from which you cannot opt-out.
