This year, WSF offered a new and interactive way to celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day and the 50th anniversary of Title IX with the NGWSD 5K & 50 Mile Challenge presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods. Over 50 schools, community partners and organizations participated in the NGWSD 5K & 50 Mile Challenge. With over 600 participants ranging from ages 6 to 82 and spread out across 45 states and 289 cities, together we completed a total of 13,518 miles.
We are proud to announce that Simmons Bank won the Corporate Challenge, and Ohio University AECOM Center for Sports Administration won the School Challenge.
Whether you chose to walk, swim, bike, ski, roll or run all 50 miles at once or spread out your movement throughout the weeks leading up to the Title IX festivities in June, we thank you for taking part in this community-based celebration.
