The Women’s Sports Foundation and the University of Michigan (U-M) have established a joint research and policy center. The center is known as the Sports, Health and Activity Research and Policy Center for Women and Girls (SHARP).
The SHARP Center is led by representatives from both the Women’s Sports Foundation and the University of Michigan. They are some of the world’s most well-respected academics and experts on Title IX, youth sports participation, female-specific kinesiology, injury and injury prevention and the myriad of other issues affecting girls and women in sports today.
OCTOBER 12, 2010: After a rigorous year-long process to select an institutional research partner, the Women’s Sports Foundation has officially selected the University of Michigan (U-M) to establish a joint research and policy center. The center will be known as the Women’s Sports, Health and Activity Research and Policy Center (SHARP).
