Darlene A. Kluka Award

Named for Dr. Darlene A. Kluka, full professor and Interim Dean in the School of Human Performance & Leisure Sciences at Barry University, the award was established in 2001 as our way of respecting her leadership, vision and desire to create a legacy that acknowledges the outstanding performance of researchers.

Flo Hyman Memorial Award

From 1987 to 2004, the Flo Hyman Memorial Award was presented by the Women’s Sports Foundation during the month of February in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with National Girls and Women in Sports Day to an outstanding female athlete, who exemplified Flo Hyman’s dignity, spirit, and commitment to excellence.
