A lot can change in 50 years. A lot has.
Since day one, the Women’s Sports Foundation has been working toward gender equality in sport through research, advocacy, education, grant-making, and leadership development. As of the 50th anniversary, WSF has invested over $100 million, expanding access and opportunities for all girls and women to reach their potential in sport and in life. But key questions remain. How do we educate and empower the next generation of advocates? How do we fulfill the true promise of Title IX? What do the next 50 years look like? Join us as we look back, honor today, and move forward.
Throughout 2022, WSF hosted a series of free Virtual Town Halls open to the public, featuring leaders, advocates and athletes discussing the progress and promise of Title IX. Topics include youth participation, pay equity, leadership, public policy, LGBTQ+, disability, and media.
Learn MoreWSF released a research report that examines the progress made in the first 50 years and looks to the future – what needs to change and what steps need to be taken in order to achieve gender equitable treatment and inclusive excellence in sports.
Read the ReportWSF, Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative and National Women’s Law Center formed the Title IX Anniversary Coalition and launched a national campaign to increase the pace of change toward equity and fairness for all.
