In 2018, the Women’s Sports Foundation and espnW, in collaboration with the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, are providing funding 64 organizations through the Sports 4 Life initiative. Together, we are committed to increasing access to sport for girls of color and to underserved communities and, in June, awarded more than $450,000 to Sports 4 Life community and regional partners, representing 37 sports in 18 states. Our 2018 funding is expected to serve nearly 14,000 middle and high school girls.

The national Sports 4 Life initiative was cofounded by the Women’s Sports Foundation and espnW in 2014. Recognizing the value of this effort, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation joined the effort this year to provide regional support to eight organizations in Southeast Michigan and Western New York.
