Mastering the game of basketball has been a passionate pursuit for Maya
Moore ever since the age of 3, when her mother mounted a hoop on the back
door of their apartment as an outlet for the energetic tot. Today, the spark that
ignited her love of the game burns brighter than ever before and Moore, now
a seasoned veteran, is universally acknowledged as one of the best female
basketball players in the world and already one of the most accomplished
athletes of all time.
Named as one of the WNBA’s 20 All-Time Greatest Players in 2016 and
recognized as the recipient of the 2017 Sportswoman of the Year in a Team
Sport, Maya Moore is the epitome of exceptional. During the 2016 WNBA
season, Moore helped lead the Minnesota Lynx to a league-best 28-6 record

she finished the season ranked fifth in the WNBA in scoring, seventh in assists,
sixth in steals, and sixth in three-point percentage, while being named to the
All‑WNBA First Team for a fourth consecutive season.
Moore picked up the 2017 season right where she left off. Under her leadership,
the Lynx dominated the regular season and headed into the playoffs as the
No. 1 seed with the league’s best record of 27-7. She finished averaging 17.3
points, 5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting a staggering 44.2%
from the field and 41.1% from three-point range.
Named an All-Star for the fifth time and in every eligible season since she was
drafted in 2011, Moore did not disappoint. She led the Western Conference Team
with 23 points, including five 3-pointers, three rebounds and three assists en
route to being named the All-Star Game MVP for the second consecutive year.
