WHAT: MEDIA BRIEFING HIGHLIGHTS WHY SPORTS MATTER FOR GIRLS

A briefing on Capitol Hill – commemorating the 29th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) – will feature Olympic athletes and experts who will highlight the importance of girls’ and women’s participation in sports and the critical need to expand athletic opportunities nationwide. The theme “Game On!” will bring to life the important topic of concussions in sports, rallying to ensure that schools have guidelines in place to protect their student-athletes.

The official 29th National Girls and Women in Sports Day hashtag is #NGWSD.
