We want to reconnect with you and hear your story. The next generation of athletes will benefit from learning about your personal experiences and athletic accomplishments.

Travel & Training Fund recipients are a dynamic part of the Foundation’s family. So, we would like to keep in touch with you and call on your expertise as we continue to broaden our programming for girls and women in sports.

We have a simple request – tell us how we can reach you. We want to hear your story and tell other aspiring athletes how the Travel & Training Fund helped you chase your dreams!

Help us make the Travel and & Training Fund Alumnae section all that it should be. If you have comments or suggestions, please email Stacy Holand, Associate Director of Athlete Services.

What Travel & Training Alums said about receiving our help:

When you’re dealing in fractions of seconds, the measure of your success is often how good your equipment is. Your grant helped me buy the new equipment I needed to stay on top.” Shelia Conover, Kayaking, 1984 and 1988 Olympian

Your Travel and Training grant allowed me to spend more time training and less time trying to earn survival money.”Michele Mitchell, Platform diving 1984 Olympic Silver medalist

I used your grant to pay for the coaching I needed to break the preconceived notions about the limitations of a disabled athlete.”Diana Golden, 1988 Paralympic gold medalist

If the Travel and Training grant had not arrived, those six years of dreams through rain-soaked roller ski miles and snow blown kilometers would not have become a reality… What a thrill is was to bring home the first Biathlon medal.”Marie Alkire, 1984 Coach of the U.S. Women’s Biathlon team
