About GoGirlGo!

GoGirlGo!, our landmark educational program launched in 2001 for elementary, middle and high school girls, works across the country to keep girls involved in physical activity and to improve the health of sedentary girls. The need for GoGirlGo! is undeniable. One in three girls is sedentary, while the other gets no more than thirty minutes of physical activity a week.

We get girls moving not through direct service, but by supporting programs and organizations that work with these girls. GoGirlGo! identifies and weaves together quality resources within each community and provides comprehensive support to organizations through a hands-on curriculum, grant program and networking opportunities.

Our free, award-winning curriculum provides tools to get girls active. It has reached close to one million girls and provided more than $5.6 million in funding to girl-serving organizations. While New York City is our signature GoGirlGo! market, the program is available nationwide. The WSF also continues to conduct GoGirlGo! community programming in Atlanta.
