What is the V is for Victory. So is IX. campaign?
V is for Victory. So is IX. is a national educational campaign to ensure that girls and women have an equal opportunity to participate in sports. For too many girls, the likelihood of their participation and the quality of their playing experience is far from equal in school and community sports programs. Female students still have 1.3 million fewer opportunities to play high school sports than male students do.
V is for Victory. So is IX. provides access to free materials, including Play Fair: A Title IX Playbook for Victory, a “Grade Your School” Report Card and a Step-By-Step Guide to achieving compliance in your school.
Additionally, we offer free Title IX workshops in three states: California, Washington and Pennsylvania. These workshops are available for students, parents, coaches and administrators to learn more about Title IX and how to achieve a “victory” for gender equity in school sports. To inquire about a workshop please contact us.

“Fair Play in Community Sports” bill (SB 5967) passes in Washington
The Women's Sports Foundation is celebrating the passage of the "Fair Play in Community Sports" bill (SB 5967) in Washington. This bill mandates that all athletes, male and females alike, are provided equal opportunities to participate in community athletic programs and ensures that girls are not relegated to poorer facilities, less suitable scheduling and less qualified officials. The "Fair Play" bill takes the non-discrimination principles of Title IX and applies them to government-funded sports programs in the state of Washington.
