Shelton High School Girl's Soccer
Representing the Ambassador Team Awards Program, the Shelton soccer team organized 43 young girls into six different teams to create a miniature “World Cup” experience. The team helped sharpen soccer skills as well as raise more than $700 for an international health organization.

Julie Powell
Julie Powell’s passion for female leaders in the sports industry was rewarded in 2008 with the Dorothy Harris Endowed Scholarship. Powell is continuing her endeavors by pursuing a doctorate degree in sport management at North Central University in Arizona.

Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation (ESYHF)
Through the leadership of female coaches, strong community ties and quality programming, the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation continues to aid at-risk youth in Philadelphia. Since the organization’s founding in 2005, more than 2,000 inner-city youth have been provided with a meaningful after school program incorporating hockey and education, both traditional and practical, all at no-cost to participants.
