Here are just a few of the organizations, girls and women we were able to support in 2007 thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and friends of the Women’s Sports Foundation.
What started as six girls and four adults meeting to play pick-up ball turned into basketball clinics and a Friday night basketball league. The Lady Colts are comprised of girls from all different ethnic backgrounds and nations worldwide. Not only has the IRC saved these girls from violence, but also it has encouraged them to celebrate diversity. Lead by example. Through the support of strong black women in the Philadelphia area, the BWSF is able to do just that. Girls 10-14 have access to workshops, field trips with parents, after-school programs and summer camps thanks to the strong support of mentors and coaches. More>>
