Camping

Whether you're having a sleepover in tents in your backyard or spending months tackling the Appalachian Trail, you're camping! Technically, camping just involves sleeping outside the shelter of your cozy home. Most campers opt to sleep in tents; however, laying a warm sleeping bag down under nothing but a sea of stars is a fantastic way to spend a summer night. Camping can involve carrying your tent and sleeping bag in your backpack and hitting the backcountry, or it can simply involve loading up the family wagon with marshmallows and gear and spending a night at a local state park. You can camp year round, even in the middle of snowy winter, depending on how rugged you are and what type of equipment you have. When and how you camp isn't a big deal; the fact that you're getting outside and getting in touch with Mama Nature is!
