GoGirlGo! Featured in International Conference


Monday, October 27, 2008 - Chicago State University Professor and Associate Dean Lisa C. Pesavento, Ph.D., presented at the World Leisure Congress this month in Québec City, Canada. During the presentation, titled "GoGirlGo! Chicago: Developing Social, Economic and Community Capital Through Physical Leisure Activity for U.S. Girls," Dr. Pesavento explained the changes and challenges young girls face today in relation to sport and leisure activity involvement. She also explained how these challenges are being addressed by the Women's Sports Foundation's GoGirlGo! curriculum and the impact it has had in the Chicago community over the past three years.
