GoGirlGo! Chicago Awarded Cubs Care Grant

Friday, May 30, 2008 - The Women's Sports Foundation's GoGirlGo! Chicago was one of 45 organizations receiving a total of $1,045,000 in grant funding. The grant will be used to encourage Lakeview girls to get moving and to experience the award-winning GoGirlGo! Curriculum. "It is with great appreciation of Cubs Care and the Chicago Tribune Foundation that we accept the challenge provided by Mike Lufrano, Senior Vice President of Community Affairs for the Chicago Cubs, 'to better the lives of those in need around our city.' The Women's Sports Foundation will accomplish this mission in Lakeview by providing movement and exposure experiences for girls," said Valerie Bushey, GoGirlGo! Chicago Director. For more information, contact the GoGirlGo! Chicago Office at 773.478.8839 or by e-mail to VBushey@WomensSportsFoundation.org.
