Cristina Teuscher is a 2000 Olympic bronze medalist (200m individual medley), a 1996 Olympic gold medalist (800m freestyle relay) and six-time national champion (1999, 800m freestyle; 1998, 400m freestyle, 200m individual medley; 1997, 200m freestyle; 1995, 200m freesyle; 1994, 200m freestyle). She placed first in the 400m freestyle and the 400m individual medley relay at the 2000 NCAA championships.
At the 1999 Pan Pacific Championships, Teuscher won a gold medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay and silver and bronze medals in the 200m individual medley and 400m individual medley, respectively.
She was a silver medalist in the 800m freestyle at the 1998 World Championships and won five medals at the 1998 Goodwill Games (gold, 800m freestyle; silver, 400m freestyle, 400m individual medley and 200m individual medley; bronze, 200m freestyle).
At the 1995 Pan American Games, she won three gold medals (200m freestyle, 4x100m freestyle relay, 4x200m freestyle relay) and one silver medal (400m freestyle). Teuscher also captured a silver medal in the 200m freestyle at the 1995 Pan Pacific Championships.
At the 1994 World Championships, she earned a silver medal in the 400m freestyle and a bronze in the 800m freestyle relay. (10/00)
