Jan Schmidt has seven career 300 games and is the record holder for most consecutive national PWBA events bowled with 200. Schmidt was the winner of the Illinois Women's Bowling Association (WBA) Team title in 1999 and 1998 and was inducted into Illinois Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1999. She won the Chicago WBA Team title in 1997, 1995, 1992 and 1991. In 1997, Schmidt also won the Women's International Bowling Congress (WIBC) National Singles Title and the Professional Women's Bowling Association (PWBA) Midwest Region South Bend Open Title.
In 1996, Schmidt won the National 700 Club title, and in 1995, she won the Illinois WBA Singles and All-Events title. That same year, she was inducted into the Chicago Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Schmidt won the Illinois WBA Team, Doubles and All-Events title in 1994, and in 1993, she won the WIBC Queens title and was the Mid-America Bowling Writers Female Bowler of the Year. She is the 2001 WIBC Gladys M. Banker Friendship Award winner. Currently, Jan Schmidt is the marketing director for the Professional Women's Bowling Association. (10/01)
