Lori Norwood/ Modern Pentathlon

Became the first woman to win a world championship in the modern pentathlon in 1989. In 1990, she won a silver medal at the World Championships and was the recipient of both the USOC's “Athlete of the Year” and the Woman's Sports Foundation Amateur Sportswoman of the Year Awards. In 1991, she was a World Cup Finalist.
