DeLisha Milton/ Basketball

DeLisha Milton was a member of the gold medal 2000 U.S. Olympic women's basketball team. As a member of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks, Milton averaged 11.8 and 6.1 rebounds per game during the 2000 season.

In 1999, she was selected as the No.4 pick overall in the WNBA draft. She helped the American Basketball League's Portland Power win the 1998 Western Conference Championship. She was a member of the 1998 U.S. National Women's Basketball Team that won a gold medal at the world championships.

In 1997, she was a member of the U.S. national team that won a gold medal at the World University Games. She also was a member of the 1994 gold-medal U.S. Olympic Festival South Team.

Collegiately, Milton played for the University of Florida and won the 1997 Wade Trophy, awarded annually to the nation's top college senior women's basketball player. That same year, she was selected as the NCAA Mideast Regional Most Outstanding Player and the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Player of the Year. She also was named to the 1997 and 1994 All-SEC first team. Milton is on the athlete advisory board of the Women in Sports Careers Foundation. (10/00)
