Was a member of the silver medal winning U.S. women's basketball team at the 1976 Montreal Games. At Queens College, she was a two-time All-American and captained her team to post-season competition and national rankings for four straight years.
In 1975, her Queens College team became the first women's basketball team ever to play in Madison Square Garden. Shortly after capturing the silver medal at the Olympics, Marquis played professional basketball overseas. For three years, she was a member of the French Riviera of the French Basketball Federation in France.
After returning from Europe, Marquis played for the New York Stars of the Women's Professional Basketball League. Her broadcasting career includes color-commentating for the ABL's New England Blizzard during their inaugural 1996-1997 season and the Madison Square Garden's Sports Desk for the WNBA during their 1997 inaugural season.
