Jennifer Johnson Jordan is currently ranked second in the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) World Player Rankings. She and teammate Annett Buckner Davis are the second-ranked team in the world and the top-ranked team in the United States.
In 2000, they competed in their first Olympic Games. Jordan and Davis placed second at the 1999 Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) Grand Slam in Florida and first at the Beach Volleyball World Series tournament in California.
In 1998, Jordan and Davis won their first international tournament at the FIVB Portugal Open and took second place at the World Championships and at the FIVB China Open. During the 1998 FIVB World Tour, her team placed ninth in competitions in Brazil and 13th in Portugal.
During the 1997 Women's Beach Volleyball League (WBVL) season, Jordan's Team Nike finished in first place, and she was named the WBVL All-League Left Outside Hitter. Also in 1997, her four-woman team took first place in the first-ever Beach Volleyball World Championships at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA).
Jordan was the UCLA team captain and leader in passing, digging and serving in 1995, and has been named one of its top 25 volleyball players. She was a member of the 1994 and 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival Teams. Currently, she is a commentator on radio KIEV for UCLA volleyball matches. (10/00)
