Asjha Jones/ Basketball

Asjha Jones was selected in the first round by the Washington Mystics in 2002 but was traded to the Connecticut Sun in 2004. She has played in every regular-season game with both teams. In 2004 she helped lead the Sun to its first Eastern Conference Championship and first appearance in the WNBA Finals against the Seattle Storm. While at UConn, Jones was a dean's list student and helped UConn to a 39-0 season culminating with the 2002 NCAA championship and was named an AP third-team All-American for the 2001-2002 season. She was also named 2002 Big East Tournament Most Outstanding player after averaging 15.0 ppg and 8.3 rpg. (10/04)
