Devlin Hashman won every junior badminton title by age 13. She won six consecutive Junior Singles titles from 1949-1954. Devlin Hashman captured the Junior, Senior, and World titles within a month of each other in 1954 and with her sister Susan took the All-England doubles and U.S. doubles crowns for the second time.
At age 14, Devlin Hashman earned her first adult victory in the Mason Dixon tournament. Devlin Hashman won 31 National Women's Singles and Doubles Championship titles from 1953-1967. The holder of 12 U.S. Open Women's Singles Championship titles and 11 Doubles titles (including 10 paired with her sister Susan), Devlin Hashman earned 17 titles at the All-England Women's Singles and Doubles Championships from 1954-1967. Devlin Hashman's last All-England title came in 1966 at 31.
She was inducted into the Helms National Badminton Hall of Fame in 1963 and was a member of the World Championship National U.S. Uber Cup team from 1957-1969. Devlin Hashman was awarded the International Badminton Federation Distinguished Service Award and the National Ken Davis Sportsmanship Award from the American Badminton Association in 1966. She currently coaches badminton, tennis and squash in England. She was inducted into the International Women's Sports Hall of Fame in Pioneer category, 1995. Devlin was also a member of the United States All-American lacrosse team for 6 years.
