Anna DeForge was fourth in the WNBA in three-point shooting and a finalist for the WNBA's most improved player. She was the leading scorer for the Pheonix Mercury last season. She played for the American Basketball League and was drafted in the second round by the San Jose Lasers in 1999. DeForge was the first woman from the University of Nebraska to earn a spot on a WNBA roster. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1998, where she was the fifth all-time leading scorer and a two-time All-American. In 1998, DeForge was named to the WNIT Final Four All-Tournament Team and scored double figures in 49 consecutive games from her junior to senior years in college. (10/03)
