Kathy Collins is the only woman to win four boxing world titles (1997, 1998 (2), 2000). Collins has many firsts in her career, as she was the first woman to fight and win in Madison Square Garden, as well as fight in the World champion title on ESPN and USA Networks. Although she did not compete in 2002, due to a foot operation, she is the current IBA junior welterweight champion. She won a 10-round International Boxing Association (IBA) Jr. Welterweight Championship bout in 2000, becoming the first fighter to win the International Women's Boxing Federation (IWBF), International Female Boxing Association (IFBA), IBA and World Welterweight Championship titles. A four-time junior welterweight champion, Collins was named the Women's Boxing Archive Network (WBAN) Fighter of the Month for July 2000. She held the IWBF championship title in 1998 and 1997. She also held the world junior welterweight, the IFBA and the world welterweight championship titles in 1997. Collins competed in the first professional women's bouts in New York and New Jersey in 1997. She was a New York Golden Glove finalist that same year. Collins is a spokesperson for Everlast for Women and released a new workout video entitled the Wildcat Workout in 2000.Collins is currently training for her next fight to take place in December of this year.
