Barbara Colombo-Adams is a gender equity training and technical assistance consultant to schools, youth programs and organizations. Her work over the past 20 years has focused on after-school care and youth program management and curriculum development. In the 1990s she conducted graduate research at the University of Maine on the influence of gender stereotypes on children's activity choices.
