The Atlanta Dream, the city's very own WNBA team, will kick off their inaugural season on May 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Philips Arena. The Dream will square off against the Detroit Shock.

Background Info: The Atlanta Dream was officially announced as the 14th team in the WNBA on October 17, 2007. The Dream will begin play in May 2008 at Philips Arena, joining the Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun, Detroit Shock, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Washington Mystics in the Eastern Conference. The team will tip-off in its first regular season home game on Friday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m. against defending Eastern Conference Champions the Detroit Shock.

Pre-season Opener (Saturday, May 3): Watch the Dream kick off the pre-season schedule against the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. The game will mark Lisa Leslie’s return to the WNBA. All tickets will be $10 and doors will open one hour prior to the start of the game.
