Read how Franchesca's life changed after she started a GoGirlGo! program.
“Franchesca was 8 years-old when she began our program at a height of 4’3”, a weight of 101.2 lbs, and body fat percentage of 47%. The contrast of pre- and post-strength testing showed Franchesca improving significantly in every area, and she grew taller while maintaining her weight and decreasing her body fat to 44%. She went from 30 sit-ups in a minute to 50 and 44 seconds during her wall squat to 70 seconds—what a sense of accomplishment this gave her!
In addition to playing soccer and volleyball, she continues dancing with her new work-out video, including her mother as a work-out partner. Because of her experience with GoGirlGo!, Franchesca made her own decision to replace her dinnertime soda with water and some of her desserts with fruit. At the end of the summer with school approaching, her mom shared, ‘I noticed that Franchesca is walking with more confidence. I have also seen her physical activity increase and a better willingness to exercise. We also see her dancing around the house more.’”

Support the work of GoGirlGo!
Get A Girl Active - The easiest way you can inspire a girl is to make everything a team effort. A girl is more likely to be active if her parent, guardian or other key adult in her life is active. Let her see you making physical activity part of your life. Be a real-life hero as she sees you jogging that extra lap, attempting that 3-point shot, striking that yoga pose. There are a number of ways you can emphasize that you are in this together.
