Facebook is teaming with JP Morgan Chase to donate $5 million to charities and we need your help to ensure the Women’s Sports Foundation benefits from this generous reward!
The joint effort, called Chase Community Giving, allows the social networking site's more than 300 million users to vote for the charity of their choice from among 5,000 nonprofit organizations. Please use your vote to support the Women’s Sports Foundation, and know that you have helped to further our mission—getting and keeping girls and women active, healthy and happy. Although each Facebook user has 20 total votes, only one of those votes can be allotted to each organization. We encourage you to vote one time and one time only--- for the Women’s Sports Foundation.
Voting for the first round began Sunday, November 15, and will run through December 11. On December 15, the 100 charities winning $25,000 each will be announced. A second round of voting will take place from Jan. 15 to 29, with the winner netting $1 million and five runners-up receiving $100,000 on Feb. 1.
In addition, an advisory board that includes actress Eva Longoria, Do Something founder Nancy Lublin and NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson will allocate a total of $1 million to the nominated charities of its choice, the Business Insider reports.
