The Evening's Awards:
Industry Leader – This award is given to an individual who has propelled the female athlete, girls’ participation in sports and physical activity, and/or the significant issues affecting participation into living rooms, on computer screens, movie screens, billboards, newspapers and/or magazines.
Journalism – Print/Online (Newspaper, Non‑Fiction Books, Photography Magazines and Written Online Content)
Submissions are judged based on the insightful portrayal of women in sports, originality and overall quality of work. Single submissions or bodies of work are eligible for consideration. Submissions must have been published between January 1, 2008, and December 15, 2008.
Journalism Full Length– Broadcast/Cable/Film (Television, Documentary, Internet)
Submissions are judged based on the insightful portrayal of women in sports, originality and overall quality of work. Single submissions or bodies of work are eligible for consideration. Submissions are more than 20 minutes in length and must have been aired, broadcast or published between January 1, 2008, and December 15, 2008.

Breakthrough and Innovation (Television, Magazine, Documentary, Film, Books, Radio, Photography, Internet, Advertising Campaigns and Other Media) Submissions are judged based on innovation, impact and relevance. Images and portrayals must be responsible and challenge the status quo of women/girls as athletes. A single submission or a body of work is eligible for consideration. Breakthrough and Innovation may be awarded for historical and/or current work.
