It’s time to get active! Fall into the season and spend some time with the girls in your life. With the holidays just around the corner GoGirlGo! is here to give you helpful tips on how to reach out to the girls in your community and keep them active and healthy.

GoGirlGo!
GoGirlGo! is the primary programming focus of the Women’s Sports Foundation designed to combat the alarming physical and psychological health hazards affecting America’s young girls. GoGirlGo! uses sport and physical activity as an educational intervention that supports girls’ health and wellness in childhood and early womanhood. The GoGirlGo! Program is a national effort. However, we have developed grassroots community development programs in Atlanta, BostonChicago and San Antonio. Additionally, GoGirlGo! includes:

Tips on Getting Girls Active
Research shows that physical activity is an effective tool for reducing the symptoms of stress and depression among girls.  Sports help girls develop leadership and teamwork skills.  Girls who participate in sports have higher self-esteem and pride in themselves. We know sports make a difference in the lives of girls. But how do you actually GET a girl to get off the couch and into the game? We’ve compiled a list of tips to help.
